Citron Essential Oil

Origin Argentina
The lemon is a citrus fruit known for its acid and fresh flavour. It is one of the most acid citrus fruits of its olfactive family. Lemons grow on a small shrub to the brilliant green foliage and in the thorny branches: the lemon tree. Natives of India, this fruit is mainly cultivated in Southern Europe and in Argentina which is the biggest exporter to the world. The essential oil of lemon is present in the skin of the fruit otherwise called zest or pericarp. In Argentina, fruits are collected manually from May till September to extract the essential oil by cold expression of the pericarp of fruits.

Mandarin Essential Oil

The mandarin is a citrus fruit in the green, sweet and slightly acid flavours very appreciated and very sought in the perfume industry. The mandarin is the fruit of a shrub in the dark green foliage native of South-East Asia: the mandarin tree. Today, the mandarin tree is cultivated in Southern Europe and in South America. The essential oil of mandarin is present in the skin of the fruit. There are several types of mandarins (yellow, red, green) according to the geographical zone where it grows and of the period when it is harvested. In Argentina, fruits are harvested in the hand from February till July to extract the essential oil from it by cold expressions of the fruits' pericarp. The harvest begins with the green mandarin, followed by the red mandarin to finish by the yellow mandarin.

Distilled Lime Essential Oil

The lime or the lime is a citrus fruit in the slightly acid and lemony flavours. Its tree, the lime tree looks like the lemon tree. There are numerous varieties of limes because of the great capacity of hybridisation of the lime tree. The historical origin of this fruit is underestimated, but it becomes enlightened today mainly in Mexico and in Peru. In Peru, fruits of limes are harvested in the hand from December till July. The essential oil of distilled lime is obtained by hydro distillation of crushed fruits.

Bergamot Essential Oil

The bergamot orange is a citrus fruit renowned for its essential oil. Its fresh smell, zesty and bitter makes it one of citrus fruits the most used in the perfume industry. Contrary to the other citrus fruits, fruits of bergamot oranges are only cultivated for their essential oil. This small green-yellow fruit native of India grows on a tree 4 metres high, the bergamot, cultivated mainly in Italy but also in Ivory Coast and in Argentina. The essential oil is obtained by the cold expression of the pericarp of fruits of bergamot oranges. In Argentina, fruits are harvested by hand and at the maturity, from May till August.
